ACUVUE Contact Lenses

ACUVUE is one of the most popular brands of contact lenses and ACUVUE has a large line of contact lenses to appeal to everyone. ACUVUE even has a 1 Day line of contacts perfect for that individual who wears eyeglasses most of the time but would like a fresh pair of ACUVUE contact lenses for days when they rather wear contact lenses - they are a use once and throw away contact lense. ACUVUE Brand Contact Lenses claim that they can really make a difference in comfort of fit; not to mention the way you see and the way you look. Many ACUVUE customers claim that ACUVUE is the best contact lenses on the market today. ACUVUE also offers a full line of colored contact lenses which will let you have any eye color you want. ACUVUE contact lenses are available at most eye care specialists.

Ok, that is the marketing on ACUVUE; however, many contact lense wearers will simply take what is given to them by their eye Doctor. ACUVUE may be the best, or some of the best contact lenses, but my question is: is the contact lense market one which the customer is driven by name brands or are contact lenses simple a commodity for which we do not care what brands we are given so long as they are non-existent to our concious mind?

Have you ever change doctors or paid more to have a specific brand of contact lenses such as ACUVUE? I have used probably 4 to 6 different brands of contact lenses over the years and I have only had one brand ever which casued discomfort in my eyes. Today, I simply take the cheapest ones my eye Doctor sells. Is this the wrong approach? Can anyone comment below on why any individual should be concerned about the brand of contact lenses they use? We would be interested in comments.

I am not disputing that ACUVUE is not a leader in contact lenses. I will even vouch that ACUVUE is one of the best known names (at this moment I could not even tell you the name brand of the lenses in my eyes). There are only about two or three brands on the market which are recognizable and ACUVUE is definitely one of them. However, I still think contact lenses are a commodity and very few individuals will seek out a brandname.
